Montreal-based artist has released 555, the lead single from his upcoming album slated for winter 2026. The track arrives less than two years after his latest full-length, , which dropped in March 2024.
Continuing the creative momentum from his previous record, Soran embraced complete artistic freedom with this new material, pushing the boundaries of contemporary pop. "Most of the songs on the new album were written at the same time or just after producing Loneliness Confetti," Soran explains.
That creative continuity shines through in 555, which channels Brit-pop influences and nods to classic UK sounds from the 70s through 90s—much like standout tracks Diamond and Magic from Loneliness Confetti.
Soran also draws inspiration from these eras in his creative process. Spontaneous, this multi-instrumentalist enjoys working with several instruments in the studio. He then plays with the sounds, creating a resolutely contemporary result, while also borrowing from a more retro approach.
555 is a brilliantly crafted modern pop song, that chronicles a chance encounter and self-sabotage unfolding in a taxi at 5:55 AM.
Beyond his work as a singer-songwriter, Soran has built a reputation as an in-demand producer, creating music for a diverse roster of artists. Recent collaborations include work with Quebec artists Claudia Bouvette, Fouki, Zach Zoya, and Geoffroy, alongside international names such as Alessia Cara, Johnny Orlando, Henri PFR (Brussels), Audrey Mika (Los Angeles), and Georgio (Paris).
555 is available now on all streaming platforms.
