The Montreal-based half-Japanese and half-French artist architects a new vision for pop and R&B, uplifted by interdimensional soundscapes and irresistibly infectious hooks. After quietly buzzing on Youtube and IG with his unique renditions of pop anthems, Soran has grasped his destiny as a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.

He first made mainstream waves with his participation on La Voix (hugely popular home province version of The Voice). But he gained global traction with his self-titled EP released in 2018, on which he wrote every part and played every instrument – quickly generating over 15M streams. Simultaneously, he lent his voice to HENRI PFR’s track “Going On,” picking up a Gold certification in Belgium. He reached viral impact with the likes of “IG Comments Song” (over 30M streams and 5M views on Youtube) in addition to clocking 15M streams with his feature on “Julia” by GAMPER & DADONI (his own composition!).

Soran maintained his momentum in 2021 with “Bottled Up” (18M streams), first of a series of singles leading to his EP Space Boy, released by Universal Music in 2022.

In parallel to his career as a singer-songwriter, Soran has collaborated in writing and production with several local and international projects such as Alessia Cara, Clay & Friends, Preston Pablo, Geoffroy, to name a few. His song “Everybody Wants You” performed by Johnny Orlando rose to the #1 spot on Canadian radio and earned him a gold plaque from the Canadian Music Publishers Association. Then, “Upper Hand”, co-written, produced and performed with Zach Zoya, once again allowed him to rise to the top of the radio charts.

Soran never stops working and perfecting his craft, he will be back with a new album in 2024.
